My husband and I are very pleased with how we were greeted when he was transferred from Kaiser PC. From the minute you walk in the door everyone greets you with a smile and says hello. My husband was taken care of excellently by everyone: directors, nurses, physical therapists, and his doctor. If there was a problem it was taken care of right away (i.e: TV, clogged toilet, bathroom floor needs to be mopped,  meds needing to be dispensed at mealtime). The bed that my husband had helped tremendously for him to be able to get in and out of bed. Then there was the FANTASTIC WONDERFUL food that was served. The menus are GREAT. Diane runs an excellent kitchen that was also very clean and well taken care of. Meals were always served in a timely manner.

I can’t remember all the names of the wonderful people that took care of my husband, but here are a few: Young, Marylou, Mildred, Remus, Mark, Jeremy, Gladys, Martha, Jesse, Judy and all the others. THANK YOU for taking such good care of my husband. Thank you to the Administrator Joram Unger for running such a wonderful place for people to go to get well.

I have already and will continue to recommend Astoria to anyone that needs to go to a nursing & rehab center.

I was extremely concerned about leaving my Dad at a facility because of the stories I’ve heard over the years. I have to tell you how impressed I am with Astoria. The facility is beautiful and so well taken care of.  It’s clean always, and the care my Dad has received from the medical staff has been way above what I could have ever expected or hoped for.

When maintenance was called one day they responded in about 5 minutes and were so helpful and kind. I have nothing but respect and admiration for all your staff. His care has been amazing and physical rehab has helped him so much; he’s been working with Raul who has been so good to my Dad and really helpful.

I can’t begin to tell you the peace of mind I and my family have had during my Dad’s stay with you. Thank you so very much to you and all you staff. Thank you for taking such good care of my Dad.

I am visiting Mom and her nurse said something that just about choked me up in a good way. The nurses who care for the elderly in nursing homes, do care. She said that some of the patients become like family. Thank you Astoria Nursing for loving my Mom.

My mom has been here for three years. The staff is professional and very compassionate. I sleep well at night knowing she is taken great care of.

My sister was admitted here a few days ago with early onset Alzheimer’s. After speaking with an RN, the Director of Nursing, and the medical director, I feel relieved that she is here, and trust their decisions regarding her well-being. They communicate kindness, compassion and desire for her greatest good, not wanting to over-medicate her or limit her freedom. I am impressed with their overall professionalism and compassion. I was also encouraged to speak up if I see anything that needs to be addressed in their care of my sister. She seems happy and comfortable here, much better than I anticipated. Of course, I will visit often and observe and participate in making sure this continues. I highly recommend this place if your loved one needs this type of medical care.
