We often tailor activities and meals to match the needs and capabilities of each resident. This has a powerful impact on the healing process.

Dining

Outside seating area with a gazebo nearby, walking paths and a beautiful garden

Astoria residents enjoy appetizing, nutritious meals, which are prepared under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian. Special diets, as well as personal preferences, are considered. Feeding assistance is given as necessary and personal feeding retraining is offered to those residents who will benefit. Therapeutic diets are provided with a physician’s orders. Those residents not on a therapeutic diet can choose from a delicious range of dishes that rotate daily. Every Friday at 6 p.m. is Happy Hour. The 2nd Thursday of every month we have a special Country Breakfast. And the 4th Thursday of every month we have a special Candle-light Dinner.
