My sister was admitted here a few days ago with early onset Alzheimer’s. After speaking with an RN, the Director of Nursing, and the medical director, I feel relieved that she is here, and trust their decisions regarding her well-being. They communicate kindness, compassion and desire for her greatest good, not wanting to over-medicate her or limit her freedom. I am impressed with their overall professionalism and compassion. I was also encouraged to speak up if I see anything that needs to be addressed in their care of my sister. She seems happy and comfortable here, much better than I anticipated. Of course, I will visit often and observe and participate in making sure this continues. I highly recommend this place if your loved one needs this type of medical care.

I am visiting Mom and her nurse said something that just about choked me up in a good way. The nurses who care for the elderly in nursing homes, do care. She said that some of the patients become like family. Thank you Astoria Nursing for loving my Mom.

My mom has been here for three years. The staff is professional and very compassionate. I sleep well at night knowing she is taken great care of.
